On Tuesday, film critic Roger Ebert will go on “Oprah” for a much anticipated interview. Ebert has been voiceless for almost four years, following surgery in 2002 to remove a cancerous thyroid, which left Ebert without a jaw.
Today Ebert will talk with the help of a computer voice based on hours of audio of his real voice. In the video clip below, Ebert tries out his new voice. Check back here for more updates once the interview has aired.
The first post-surgery photographs of Ebert were published recently alongside a recent Esquire profile.
