In his ‘Nightline’ interview, Jesse James made the shocking claim that his father abused him physically when he was a child. He said he was “always scared” and recounted one incident where his dad, Larry James, allegedly broke his arm. “I tripped over this little low fence wire and snapped my wrist and I remember my dad laughed at me when I hit the ground,” he said, adding, “I was a terrorized kid … it’s tough for me to think about now because … Sunny is the age that I was when my dad broke my arm.”
But Larry James remembers the incident differently, telling RadarOnline.com that his son broke his arm when he dove recklessly over a fence to retrieve a ball.
“Just to show off … he dove over the fence, landed on the ground, and broke his arm,” he said. “He neglected to say that I was right there, picked him up, lifted him over the fence and I never let go of him until his hand was in a cast.”
His sister Julie James England, however, tells TMZ her father Larry was “very abusive to my mom and us when we were growing up.”
She also confirmed that it was her father’s fault Jesse broke his arm and claims he was always yelling at them as kids.
While it’s sad that he had to grow up with an abusive father, it’s still no excuse for what he did to Sandra.
