British pop singer, Leona Lewis, has cemented her reputation as one of the most unlucky stars in showbusiness after she fell down an elevator shaft during a concert in Northern England last week.
The “Bleeding Love” star narrowly avoided a very bloody injury after she fell down the dark hole when her elevator got stuck just moments before a live show.
“We have been having problems with the lift. It had been going fine in rehearsals and then I had a bit of an accident and fell down the lift shaft. It was quite scary,” Leona recalls. “I was lucky not to get injured. Fortunately it happened during a blackout on set and didn’t affect the show and none of the audience saw anything. I got a shock and had to be rescued.”
Lewis has a history of getting injuried in the most unlikely of circumstances.
Last year, the Pizza Hut waitress-turned-Grammy nominee suffered facial injuries after she was headbutted by her pet horse. A few months later, Lewis was viciously socked in the face by a mentally-unstable fan during a book signing in London.
