You can buy a lot at WalMart for $25. However, one thing you can’t buy is a BABY! Yes, a couple in California tried to sell their baby for $25 outside of WalMart. The baby is 6 months old.
Apparently 38 year old Patrick Fousek and 20 year old Samantha Tomasini approached two women outside WalMart. He actually asked the women if they would purchase his child from him for $25.
The women originally thought it was a joke, but he continued on, so they reported the incident to the police. The police were helped by the level of information the women were able to provide.
After getting the report, police arrested Fousek and Tomasini at 1 am at their home on Wednesday. Police believed that the two were high on methamphetamine. The house was a disaster. Then, Tomasini admitted to breastfeeding the poor baby while using drugs. What a mess!
Child Protective Services took the baby from the home. The couple was also charged with being under the influence of narcotics. Fousek was also in violation of probation.
What a disaster! Plus, what a poor baby. This child didn’t ask for parents like this. I hope the baby has not suffered any permanent damage from the crazy things his or her parents have done over the past 6 months plus 9 months of pregnancy. I swear, a lot of times it seems like people don’t even get a chance.
