New York Giants’ Chad Jones In Critical Condition After Car Accident In New Orleans

New York Giants’ rookie free safety, Chad Jones, is reportedly in critical condition from injuries suffered in a car crash on Friday in New Orleans, WWL reports. The Louisiana station reports that Jones had “arteries and nerves exposed” and underwent surgery.
Jones is now said to be in guarded condition. ProFootballTalk and ESPN’s Adam Schefter tweeted that doctors are attempting to save the 21-year-old’s leg.
Jones was drafted in the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft after playing football at LSU.
Les Miles, Jones’s coach at Louisiana State, posted the following note to Twitter: “Just got news about Chad Jones’ car accident. We are praying for Chad and his family. Keep him in your prayers.”
