LeBron James To Announce Decision Thursday

Posted by Brad On July - 7 - 2010

The long and convoluted LeBron James saga isn’t over yet. But at least there’s an end in sight. ESPN’s Chris Broussard reports James will announce Thursday where’s he going, in an hourlong special beginning at 9 p.m. ET on the network.

Proceeds from advertising for the show (which will be sold by LeBron and his representatives) will reportedly go to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

James has kept a busy schedule since officially becoming a free agent on July 1. He has had long meetings with several teams who’ve cleared the necessary cap space to sign James to a max deal. Last weekend he met with the Bulls, Heat, Knicks, Nets, Clippers and Cavaliers, where he has spent the first seven years of his career.

The rumor mill has been as frenetic as James, with wild reports linking him to several scenarios, including going to the Bulls with Chris Bosh and to Miami with Bosh and Dwyane Wade. Today it was reported the Cavs and Raptors had agreed in principle to a sign-and-trade deal that would send Bosh to Cleveland, though Broussard later reported that Bosh has no intention of playing in Cleveland
