Angelina Jolie Joins Twitter

Having arrived into town with her children the previous day, Angelina Jolie was back in promotional mode as she partook in a “Salt” press conference at the Grand Hyatt Tokyo in Tokyo, Japan on Tuesday (July 27).

Jolie is the newest celebrity member of the world’s leading microblogging website, Twitter.

In an unexpected move, the usually-guarded A-lister, has obtained a Twitter account. But don’t expect any updates on what Angie just ate or her latest adventures with Brad & The Rainbow Tribe.

Instead of filling in her fans on the activities that fill her day, Ange has acquired the Twitter account @AngelinaJolie to prevent some celeb-gawking regular folk from obtaining the coveted handle, spying tipsters spilled to Us Magazine this week.

“Jolie had her people obtain the account for her so no one else could have that username. There was actually else using @AngelinaJolie but Angelina requested the account suspended and took it over. If she uses it, it will be for charity-related items or sharing links.”
