Lorenzen Wright has been found dead, the Memphis Commercial Appeal reports. Wright, a former NBA lottery pick who played in the league for more than a decade, vanished on July 19.
A source tells MyEyeWitnessNews.com that the body may have suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound. WREG previously reported that Wright had experienced financial troubles and that his home had been foreclosed in May.
According to the Commercial Appeal, “police sources confirmed earlier that they are investigating a 911 hangup call from Wright’s cellphone made July 19.”
While authorities did not suspect foul play in Wright’s disappearance, his family did. Wright had six children.
