President Obama extended his birthday celebration Sunday by living out many a man’s fantasy: Playing basketball with professional stars.LeBron James and Dwyane Wade were among the All-Pros who joined Obama and some friends for a hoops game at Fort McNair, near the White House. So did famous players from the past, including Bill Russell and Magic Johnson. Kobe Bryant also showed up, but did not play. The audience included wounded soldiers and participants in a White House mentoring program. Some of the players later attended a barbecue back at the White House featuring some special food: Shrimp from the Gulf of Mexico.Education Secretary Arne Duncan, who played basketball at Harvard, was one of the amateurs on hand for the special hoops exhibition, though he assured MSNBC this morning that “I stayed out of LeBron’s way.”"We had a heckuva lot of fun,” Duncan said. “It was an amazing day.”
