Simon Cowell Uses SEO Firm To Squash Bad Press

Yes, I never liked Simon Cowell and I thought he always wanted us to view him as the ” bad guy” on American Idol. Apparently not.

Reports have surfaced that Cowell may have hired a firm to do searches and kill negative press by pressuring blogging sites like word press to take down pages which criticize him.

Cowell’s press agent, a lady named Ann Marie Thompson denies that he uses a SEO firm to perform SEO (search engine optimization ) sweeps to kill bad stories but bloggers tell another tale.
According to the New York Daily News:

One insider tells us the story of Hans Ebert, a former executive for Universal Music and EMI in Asia is a blogger whose article ” Why American Idol is Better Off Without Simon Cowell” was mysteriously pulled by word press. They claimed that it violated it’s terms of conditions.”

After a 12 hour hiatus Ebert promised to follow up with legal action unless it was restored.
It was but now Ebert was pretty mad and promised to investigate Simon Cowell’s part in this censorship .

A further search showed a link to a SEO company out of Bangalore and the mystery deepened as they linked that company to a SEO firm called Reputation Management Consultants, which does have an outpost in the UK.

So it seems obvious that Simon Cowell is not only a control freak who browbeats teenagers on television with his cruel assessments of their talent, but he is also possibly a jerk who tries to silence free speech thru image control.

I have to say that now I am really determined to” hate on” Simon Crowell for his bullying of the free press and bloggers weaker than himself.

Luckily, SEO Image consultants picked the wrong blogger to mess with and now Simon Cowell may be known for the man who tried to control the Internet…..but failed miserably.
