Kobe Bryant Says He Can Beat LeBron One-On-One

Posted by Sam On October - 5 - 2010

Speaking to a group of journalists and children over in London, England on Saturday (ignore the “May 2nd, 2010″ declaration that begins the video), Lakers guard Kobe Bryant didn’t hesitate when asked whether he or LeBron James would prevail in a one-on-one game.

It’s not just bluster, and he’s probably right.

OK, part of it is Kobe-styled, unsmiling bluster, but Bryant is right when he says one-on-one ball is “what I do.” LeBron is still the better overall player- – scores more at a more efficient rate, passers better, rebounds better, defends better and gathers more blocks and steals — but Kobe in a one-on-one scenario is still a nightmare.

If anything, I’d wonder who would win a one-on-one to 11, win by two: Kobe, or Dwyane Wade? Probably Kobe, but perhaps not “in his sleep.”
