Sandra Bullock has been honored with yet another well deserved distinction – People magazine has named her Woman of the Year and the most intriguing person on its Most Intriguing Newsmakers list.

“Bad things happen, but she celebrates the good ones,” a source said of Bullock, reports People Magazine. “And Louis [her son] is a wonderful celebration of good things.” The magazine honored the 46-year-old actress following an eventful year of ups and downs that included an Oscar win, the adoption of her son Louis and a divorce from television personality and bad-boy Jesse James. According to People, the actress does not have any plans to adopt another child and she’s currently deciding on her next project – reportedly she has her pick from a pile of Hollywood’s hottest scripts, reports USA Today. Other notable names making the list include: The Obamas, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Michael Douglas, Prince William and Kate Middleton, Elin Nordegren, Natalie Portman, Nicki Minaj, Sarah Palin, Bret Michaels, Julian Assange, Ricky Martin, Facebook guru Mark Zuckerberg, Kim Kardashian and The Chilean miners.
