Chris Hughes, cofounder of facebook, and Sean Eldridge, political director of Freedom To Marry, announced they are engaged to get married in New York. They stated their engagement took place two weeks ago. However, a date has not been set yet. Their hope is to get married in New York where gay marriage isn’t legal yet. Eldridge stated: “As you know, we can’t get married in New York, so there is more of an urgency to approve gay marriage, so we can get married here,” The couple did confirm they would be getting married in the next year or two though.
