In a world where parents of beautiful children never seemed to get tired of having their kid strapped down to a salon chair for an eyebrow waxing they neither need nor want… model/actress/Esquire’s sexiest woman alive Brooklyn Decker’s dad lets her know that she should worry about your own health before worrying about anyone else’s absurd weight loss techniques.  And that means EVERYTHING in an industry where your weight is actually a competition.

That’s what Decker told Self magazine about growing up in the modeling industry, where she was constantly surrounded by people doing unhealthy things in order to stay thin. When she succumbed to the pressure and started dieting herself, a full scale intervention from dear old dad put her back on the right path.

“I was always with other aspiring models. There were bingers and purgers, and everyone watched each other eat. It freaked me out. I did juice fasts and crazy diets and ended up gaining weight. My father did an intervention and got me to stop obsessing about everyone else and wrecking my body.”
