Chick-Fil-A Kicked Off Of College Campus For Supporting Anti-gay Hate Groups
Chick-Fil-A has been removed as a vendor at its South Bend campus over reports of donating food to anti-gay hate groups. Dan Cathy, the president of Chick-Fil-A defended the company in an online statement. “Providing food to these events or any event is not an endorsement of the mission, political stance or motives of this or any other organization,” Cathy also said “Any suggestion otherwise is just inaccurate.” Some IU South Bend students don’t see things the same way. “Providing food is equal to donating money.” Erin Rempala a junior at Indiana University pointed out that the food was a donation thus equal to supporting a cause. I would agree. Chick-Fil-A was not hired to cater these events. Because of that the donation of food is the same as showing the companies support for anti-gay hate groups.

I would actually have to agree, donation is support, but I wouldn’t have accused them of the same if they had been simply hired to provide food.
