A trio of cocktails named in honor of the cyclone commonly known as Charlie Sheen is poised to make a splash across the nation after premiering at a temporary restaurant in Manhattan over the weekend.
Fatty Johnson’s — a temporary bar that shut down the nightlife in the West Village for three days before shutting down on Sunday — offered three drinks inspired by the Hollywood bad boy. The bar is just the latest to capitalize on Sheen’s public meltdown.
“I might as well ride the wave,” said Adam Schuman, the brainchild behind the “7-Gram Rock,” a potent bourbon-based mix nfused with peaches, nectarines, and cherries that spins off Sheen’s reference to the cocaine he admittedly snorts.
Another alcohol-infused, Sheen-inspired favorite includes “Smokin’ Bone,” a blend of rye whiskey, smoked pineapple syrup, fresh lime, tabasco, and chocolate bitters that was a popular treat with Fatty’s customers.
And we haven’t heard the last of Adam’s signature Sheen Cocktails. Schuman is currently at work concocting the “Hot Shots Part Deux,” a drink modeled on Sheen’s famed Top Gun spoof of the same name.
