Spitting On Shirley Phelps Is Not A Crime

Posted by Darby On April - 11 - 2011

Friday Billy Spade, who was arrested a year ago for spitting tobacco juice on Shirley Phelps-Roper, was acquitted of the supposed crime. Spade claimed he spit on her sign while Phelps-Roper swore he spit on her chest. The arresting officer, Nick Null testified he saw Spade spit on her. Phelps-Roper along with others from Westboro Baptist Church was protesting the deaths of miners who died in a mine cave-in. They had signs reading “Thank God for Dead Miners”.

Apparently Spade was pissed off and hawked the biggest tobacco luggy he could at Phelps-Roper. She said “I’m glad you pigs finally did something.” Someone finally retaliated in the same manner Westboro Baptist Church protests and they didn’t like it. It is about time someone gave them a dose of their own medicine. I sincerely hope that when one of those bigots die a horde of people picket their funeral and celebrate that they are dead. These hate mongers need to know what kind of pain they are inflicting on innocent people grieving for their loved ones.

The jury made a good call by refusing to give any absolution to Phelps-Roper. The more the judicial system can send the message that Westboro Baptist Churches hate speech will not be tolerated the better this country is going to be.
