Vampire Diaries, Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev up for Peoples Choice Awards

Fans of The Vampire Diaries will be happy to know their favorite hit CW series is up for a 2012 People’s Choice Award! Additionally, series stars Ian Somerhalder, and Nina Dobrev are contending for Favorite TV Drama Actor, and Favorite TV Drama Actress, respectively. While everyone who loves the series will surely be rooting for Ian, Nina, and TVD to scoop up all the awards; it seems unlikely when one considers last the 2011 Peoples Choice Awards.

First off, Nina Dobrev was not graced with a nominee, but her co-star, and rumored boyfriend, Ian Somerhalder was nominated, as was the series. Unfortunately, all was lost to another series, House. Can The Vampire Diaries, Ian Somerhalder, and Nina Dobrev pull off a sweeping win on all nominated categories this year? Or, will they again go home empty handed thanks to House and crew?
