According to friends of Rich Cronin, the front man of disbanded boyband LFO has passed away, two weeks after his 35th birthday. Chris Kirkpatrick (formerly of *NSYNC) updated his official Facebook status on the afternoon of Sept. 8 to read “Rip to a great friend rich c.”

Lance Bass also expressed his condolences via Twitter, writing, “Sad sad day that Rich Cronin died- was a amazing guy. : (”

Kirkpatrick and Cronin starred together in the short-lived VH1 series “Mission: Man Band,” in which former boyband members joined forces in a band called Sureshot. The series also starred Jeff Timmons (98 Degrees) and Bryan Abrams (Color Me Badd).

Cronin remains best known for his involvement in LFO, which produced hits like “Summer Girls” and “Girl On TV,” which were Top 10 Billboard hits in 1999 and 2000 respectively.

Born August 30, 1975, Cronin has battled acute myelogenous leukemia since 2005, going into remission several times since. He started the Rich Cronin Hope Foundation to spread awareness and encourage people to register to become bone marrow donors.

The song is produced by Stargate and serves as the first single to Rihanna’s forthcoming album — Loud –which is due in November. The euro-pop number currently follows the dance trend that is hitting up the dancefloor these days. It’s like “Please Don’t Stop the Music” on a caffeine rush and sure to become a hit for the Rated R hitmaker!

“I didn’t want to go backward and remake ‘Good Girl Gone Bad’. I wanted the next step in the evolution of Rihanna. I’m gonna miss the ‘Rated R’ era too, but NOTHING compares to the album I just made,” Rihanna, 22, blogged this morning.

An iTunes arrival date and album release date have not yet been confirmed.

Rihanna’s fourth album — Rated R — was released in Nov. 2009 and debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200, selling over 180,000 copies in its first week. The LP has since been certified platinum.

Talking to UK host Alan Carr Perry said, ‘One of the first things I’ll do is apply for dual citizenship.

T.I. and Tiny just pulled a “Paris.”

The honeymoon is over for newlywest rapper/actor T.I. and his wife — ex-R&B girl bander Tameka Cottle. The Atlanta couple were arrested in West Hollywood overnight on drug charges, according to Los Angeles Sheriff’s Deputy Mark Pope.

LAPD officials say the arrests for possession of a controlled substance came late Wednesday night during a traffic stop. Officers pulled the pair over on Hollywood’s glitzy Sunshine Blvd. after they smelled what they thought was marijuana wafting from their Maybach. T.I. — whose real name is Clifford Harris Jr — and Cottle, a 36-year-old mother of three, were immediately booked at the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station.

Bail has been set at $10,000.

The arrest came at the end of what had been a blissful few weeks for one of hip-hop’s royal couples. After a more than seven year courtship that included a son, a miscarriage, and a reality show on BET, Tiny and T.I. tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in Miami earlier this summer.

In March, T.I. — who joins Idris Elba in last weekend’s box office winner Takers — was released from a federal prison in Arkansas after serving several months for illegal firearms possession and possessing a gun as a convicted felon.

Eccentric pop tart Lady Gaga debuted a new song — titled “Living on the Radio” — during a sold-out show in Minnesota Monday night.

The “Alejandro” singer, who is on the second US leg of her Monster Ball Tour, belted out the ballad, which includes the lyrics: “Stone river eyes and a lonely heart/ If I’m living on the radio they won’t tear me apart. Cause the showbiz, all the caviar/ The champagne and the sold out shows/ But it will be all right honey/ ‘Cause your songs are on the radio.”

The slow jam may be featured on Gaga’s upcoming album. The disc — the follow-up to the hugely-successful Fame Monster LP — is expected to premiere early next year.

After a few hard days and nights of deliberations, Rolling Stone has chosen the most fab Beatles song ever: the psychedelic classic “A Day in the Life.”

The closing track on “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” heads the magazine’s top 10 list of greatest Beatles tunes.

The rankings, though dominated by Lennon-McCartney compositions, included a pair of George Harrison tracks: “Something” at No. 6, and “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” at No. 10.

The top choice was a true Lennon-McCartney collaboration, with John writing the opening and closing verses and Paul providing the bridge.

The best-of the best band ever was released to coincide with the 40th anniversary of the Fab Four’s final album, “Let It Be.”

A special Rolling Stone collectors edition will include its list of the band’s top 100 songs.

The list covers all of the Beatles’ reign on the charts, from early smash “I Want to Hold Your Hand” (No. 2) to career-closing hit “Let It Be” (No. 8).

Rounding out the first half of the top 10 were No. 3 “Strawberry Fields Forever,” No. 4 “Yesterday” and No. 5 “In My Life.”

The persisent Mariah Pregnancy Rumors — which haved popped up at least twice a year since she married Cannon two years ago — once gained momentum on the blogosphere when photos from one of Mariah’s live shows in Brazil appeared online over the weekend, appearing to display the songstress with a baby bump. Cannon won’t confirm or deny reports, but mentioned the gossip on his NYC morning radio show on 92.3 NOW FM this week, telling listeners that if Mimi was ever pregnant she’d have to be the one to announce it.

“I’ve said it before and I’ll say it time and time again – when my wife feels like talking about whatever she wants to talk about, you will hear it directly from her.”

Carey has allegedly been undergoing fertility treatments since 2008.

Bieber Fever sufferers in the Big Apple will be in for a treat when Justin Bieber’s sold-out US summer tour rolls into Manhattan’s Madison Square Garden next week.

Bieber has invited “Karate Kid” Jaden to perform their single “Never Say Never” at the Aug. 31 show, The New York Post’s PageSix Column has revealed.

“Special security arrangements are being made for Jaden, who will appear onstage, and his family, including Will, to be in the audience for the concert,” says a source.

Sean Kingston and Biebs’ mentor — R&B star Usher — are also expected to appear.
