If approved, SOPA and PIPA would allow the government to censor the Internet, which according to Google, and many other Internet companies, like Wikipedia, would slow economic growth in the U.S.

Not to mention it is viewed by many as unconstitutional as it prevents freedom of speech. Many people make their living using the Internet, and if the government is allowed to censor whatever they like on a whim, many people could suffer.

Both Wikipedia, and Google have web pages set up where a petition protesting SOPA and PIPA can be signed.

Well the John Edwards trial for hiding his affair with Rielle Hunter is finally over. Edwards has been indicted on six counts consisting of four counts of illegal campaign distributions, one count of conspiracy, and one count of false statements. So it is official he lied and tried to cover it up.

Edwards has demonstrated he is a typical man chasing after a woman and ruining his life and political ambitions in the process. Women have brought down nations. Rielle hunter doesn’t even seem worth it though. She was just a good romp in the sack. The only thing I can say is John don’t pull your pants up just yet because Bubba wants his turn with you.

Republican Tim Pawlenty released a video Sunday announcing he would be running for the GOP presidential nomination. He promises a campaign that “tells the American people the truth.” I guess President Obama and all the other Republican presidential hopefuls do not tell the truth. Monday morning he plans on making the official announcement in person in an Iowa town hall forum.

I believe Pawlenty trying to get the Republican presidential nomination is laughable. He is up against Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum, Ron Paul. With such heavy hitters he doesn’t even stand a chance. As we all know when someone says “bless someone’s heart” it is never a good thing, but bless his heart; Pawlenty is making this announcement in Iowa instead of his state Minnesota because they are suffering from reduced services due to their continuing deficit. If he can’t help his own state how is he going to help the nation?

Democrats have made their own responses to Pawlenty’s video announcement. DNC press secretary, Hari Sevugan, said “After running for president for over two years, the question isn’t whether Tim Pawlenty is running or not. It’s why — a question he has yet to find an answer to.” I believe the answer to that question is he wants to be president. However, wanting to be president and having the ability to be president are two very different things. Heck I want to fly planes, but I don’t have a pilot’s license. I guess there is no plane flying in my near future.

President Barack Obama is courting the gay community for his upcoming reelection campaign. This is a big change from his 2008 election campaign. In 2008 Obama had only one openly gay staff member on his finance team. Now there are 15 openly gay staff members so far. During Obama’s first term he has repealed Don’t Ask Don’t Tell (DADT), given a public endorsement of the “It Gets Better” campaign, vowed to stop defending the defense of marriage act, and passed the hate crimes act.

As is very evident President Obama has been very active for the gay community, and now he obviously feels the gay community needs to show him some love. However, in order to get the complete support of the gay community in the United States he needs to come out in full support of marriage equality. This is a bold move for any politician, but in order to get the support he wants Obama has to show the brass and ensure all Americans have the same rights in all aspects of life. Otherwise all his efforts come off as the usual reelection politics.

Rick Santorum wants to rule the Oval Office. Monday Santorum announced he was launching an exploratory committee to determine the viability of running for president. He is known for being an antigay bigot comparing gay relationships to polygamy and adultery. Let’s not forget he believes same sex couples make incompetent parents.

Santorum will not go far with his presidential run. He is publically catering to evangelical Christians who are a very small minority in this country. The only thing Santorum is doing is alienating people who fall in the middle of the political spectrum; which is by far a larger if not the largest segment of American society.

What is really disturbing to me on the political front is how both Santorum and Donald Trump are publically running for president on antigay platforms. With the progress we are starting to make in the right direction for marriage equality; allowing these two bigots to move us backward is unthinkable. Too bad they don’t realize the gay community could be of great help to them if they only treated us right.

President Obama began his speech by recapping the Bin Laden history starting with 9/11 ten years ago. He informed the nation that last August he received intelligence placing Bin Laden hiding deep within a compound located in Pakistan. Over the past few months he has followed up every possible lead to confirm the intelligence, and last week decided it was the right time to attack and finish the job. Obama said “Today, at my direction, the United States launched a targeted operation against that compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan. A small team of Americans carried out the operation with extraordinary courage and capability. No Americans were harmed. They took care to avoid civilian casualties. After a firefight, they killed Osama bin Laden and took custody of his body.”

President Obama has had a lot of bad press on his policies and the direction he has taken the nation. This is a great opportunity to point out how President Bush got us into this war and in the process tanked the American economy. Under President Obama’s leadership we have started economic recovery and now assassinated one of our nation’s biggest enemies. This alone proves how competent Obama is at leading our nation compared to President Bush. President Obama, thank you very much for turning our great nation around and headed in the right direction.

Last night at 9:45 pm (EST) President Obama announced he would release his birth certificate. This is in reaction to presidential wannabe, Donald Trump and the birthers constant nagging and speculation of him not being born in the United States. President Obama let his feeling on the matter be known by saying “We do not have time for this kind of silliness. We’ve got better stuff to do.” As we all know this is just a nice way of saying here ya go bitches now leave me alone.

Donald Trump is as proud as a peacock strutting his stuff by taking credit for the release of President Obama’s birth certificate. Trump’s remarks “Today I’m very proud of myself, because I’ve accomplished something that no one else has been able to accomplish,’ ‘I want to look at it, but I hope it’s true. … But he should have done it a long time ago,’” proves how arrogantly proud he is of himself.

Now that this bullshit is over its time to concentrate on other important things like who is going to be voted off of Dancing With the Stars.
