No one likes to be sued, but this is likely an even harder hit for Netflix, as the company has seen stocks plunge in recent months. It looks like all those changes to their DVD rental, and Streaming plans haven’t work out as quite as they had planned.

According to the complaint Netflix executives sold 388,661 of company shares out of their own Netflix stock while the shares were at a high — A sale that netted $90.2M. Well, it certainly seems as if a few executives are about to be in some very hot water!

Those listed as defendants are Netflix Chief Executive Officer Reed Hastings, Chief Financial Officer David Wells, Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos, Chief Marketing Officer Leslie Kilgore, and Chief Product Officer Neil Hunt. Oooh.. I’d sure hate to be them right about now.

I came across an article this morning giving a list of 7 things an employee will say to their boss. As I read each one a few thoughts came to my mind. Here they are.

1. “Give me an important task and I know you respect me…” this one is based on the fact if an employee is given an important task they will feel appreciated. That is all fine, well, and good, but what if there is only 2 or three employees in the office. Then it becomes they are the only ones around to do it and the boss is busy.

2. “…but give me an important task that I have to figure out and I know you trust me.” If an employee doesn’t have the brain power to figure out the tasks associated with their job then they shouldn’t have the job to begin with.

3. “In fact, I would like to stay here my entire career.” Everyone hates to go job hoping. It’s a pain in the ass. Treat an employee right and there won’t be any problems; provided they are doing their job. Besides can an employer continue to replace employees just because they’re a prick?

4. “I appreciate that you stopped to talk… but can’t you see it gets me behind?” Oh my God how true this is. Most of us keep our personal and professional lives separate. Employees don’t care what little Timmy or Suzie did last night.

5. “…and I can tell you don’t care about my personal life.” Interesting how a few of these go hand in hand. Once again employees want to stay out of your business and want employers to do the same.

6. “Would it kill you to say “thanks” once in a while?” People like to hear some sort of thank you for a job well done, or going above and beyond the call of duty. The only thing I can say is no shit Sherlock. Who would have thought?

Well the John Edwards trial for hiding his affair with Rielle Hunter is finally over. Edwards has been indicted on six counts consisting of four counts of illegal campaign distributions, one count of conspiracy, and one count of false statements. So it is official he lied and tried to cover it up.

Edwards has demonstrated he is a typical man chasing after a woman and ruining his life and political ambitions in the process. Women have brought down nations. Rielle hunter doesn’t even seem worth it though. She was just a good romp in the sack. The only thing I can say is John don’t pull your pants up just yet because Bubba wants his turn with you.

Opera has finally had her farewell episode. During her farewell speech she thanked everyone for joining her over the past 25 years. Gays got included in the thank you as well. Her exact words were “I thank you for tuning in every day, along with your mothers and your sisters and your daughters, your partners, gay and otherwise,’ ‘I thank you for being as much of a sweet inspiration for me as I’ve tried to be for you.’”

Opera is a very classy lady and gave a very heart felt and classy thank you to all of her supporters. I am glad she gave only a small mention to the gay community instead of trying to make a huge political statement. It was very appropriate. We will miss you Opera.
