Forbes has released its annual Celerity top 100 list. Opera is usually at the top of the list. This year however, the ”Day Time Talk Show Queen” has been toppled by Lady Gaga. This might be because she is retiring her talk show, or she hasn’t put as much effort into trying to be popular. I guess a Diva needs a break every now and again. Maybe the real key is the social media presence Lady Gaga has compared to Opera. Whatever the reason Opera in no longer on top; at least for this year.

If you ask me the reason why Opera has been dethroned is a generational gap. Opera has earned a hell of a lot more money in the past 12 months compared to Lady Gaga. As a matter of fact $200 million more. However, when Opera became popular television was the medium that everyone turned to, and she knew exactly how to work it. These days the internet and social media are the platforms of choice to rake in popularity points. Lady Gaga has cornered the market on how to turn social media into cash. She uses clever tricks like calling her twitter followers “Little Monsters”. So all hail the new “Popularity Queen Super Star”. I guess she was just born that way. Opera will be back on top before you know it though. After all you can’t keep a good queen down. Trust me I should know

Earlier this week Playgirl’s Daniel Nardicio offered $10,000 to whoever could produce a genuine photo of Anderson Cooper in the nude.  I was getting really excited to see what kind of photo would be produced, and what Coopers junk looked like of course.  What self-respecting gay man wouldn’t want to see that?

Now Nardicio is back pedaling by saying he changed his mind.  He said he slept on it and thought about Jake Gyllenhall’s run in with a bathroom stalker trying to get a pic of him at the urinal.  Nardicio said”I changed my mind and took the offer off the table, considering Anderson is in Japan reporting and in light of the whole Jake Gyllenhaal urinal stalker.”

Yeah right, I believe he was afraid of being sued for using Cooper’s image without his permission.  It looks like paying $10,000 was not worth paying millions in defamation damages.

Here is a shocker Rosie O’Donnell and her girlfriend Tracy Kachick-Anders have split.  They had 10 children between them and called themselves the “Gay-dy Bunch.”  Sounds more like they should have went with two old hags lived in a shoe they had so many children they didn’t know what to do but split.  However, we can all rest easy because they all are still “very close.”  YEAH RIGHT!  How many of us stay close to our ex’s after a split?  Besides this “Gay-dy Bunch” never lived under the same roof.  Poor Rosie she cannot keep a good woman (thinking, thinking, thinking) no she cannot keep a nice woman (thinking, thinking, thinking) ok she cannot keep a woman.  Rosie girl I hate to say it, but it may be time to look at inflatable dolls.  They do not leave and they do not talk back.

howard stern to judge american idol?

We’re one step closer to finding a successor to Simon Cowell, and according to reports, it’s looking more and more like 6-foot-5 shock jock Howard Stern may take the seat. On his Sirius satellite radio program on Monday, Stern told listeners that he’s seriously considering leaving radio entirely to take the “Idol” gig. “There’s not a better job on the planet than judging that … karaoke contest,” he said.

Surprising? Absolutely. Not just because Stern might abandon the medium that’s made him a millionaire several times over, but what’s even harder to grasp is that he may leave his beloved New York City!

So how would Stern do out here in Cali? And could his unfiltered, often brutal honesty actually work on America’s most popular show? What do you think?

The 28-year-old — who gave birth to son Sparrow in September — bowed out of the Nov. 10 launch of her House of Harlow jewelry at Bebe in L.A., citing illness. On Sunday, Nicole Tweeted that she was feeling ill, writing “ok cold, it’s been 6 days.”

The 28-year-old daughter of singing legend Lionel Richie checked herself into Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after her symptoms persisted for several days. But fans have been warned not to worry – Nic is responding well to treatment and is expected to make a full recovery.

“Nicole has checked into Cedars-Sinai where she is being treated for pneumonia,” a rep for the former Simple Life star said Wednesday. “She is doing well.”

Nicole and BF Joel Madden also have a daughter, Harlow, who 22 months.

Martha Stewart says Rachael Ray can’t hold a candle to her in the kitchen.

In her first television interview since serving five months in prison in 2004 for lying to investigators about a well-timed stock trade, Stewart, 68, talks to ABC News’ Nightline about rebuilding her brand — and slams Ray, 41, one of her TV competitors.

“Well, to me, she professed that she could — cannot bake,” Stewart says of Ray in the interview, airing Thursday. “She — just did a new cookbook which is just a re-edit of a lot of her old recipes. She — and that’s not good enough for me.”

When it comes to writing a book, Stewart says she want to publish something that “is a unique and lasting thing. Something that will really fulfill a need in someone’s library.” Ray, she says, “is different.”

Stewart says Ray is “more of an entertainer … with her bubbly personality, than she is a teacher, like me. That’s not what she’s professing to be.”

Do Stewart’s remarks make Ray mad?”Why would it make me mad?” Ray asks. “Her skill set is far beyond mine. That’s simply the reality of it.”

Ray adds that “that doesn’t mean that what I do isn’t important too… I don’t consider it needling. I really just think she’s being honest. She does have a better skill set than I do when it comes to producing a beautiful, perfect, high-quality meal.” Says Ray, “I’d rather eat Martha’s than mine, too.”

Damn… Rachael Ray is too nice.  I’d be like, “My next book will be called 30 Minute Senior Citizen Prison Meals… just for Martha.
